Patricia - Community Engagement Facilitator & Job Search Assistant
Hello, I am a former teacher who has a passion for unique individuals. I have always lobbied to have students in my classroom who did not fit the prescribed school mode. Differences are a part of the human condition. And we should all learn how to accept those differences into our ideas of humanity. Learning about your loved one's differences will be a privilege to experience. My philosophy of life and education is that everyone can learn, everyone can function in a better way. For some of us that takes longer, but we all can improve. I hope to watch your loved ones become more independent and capable and I am so excited to be part of that adventure.

Dylan - Community Engagement Facilitator
As someone who has disabilities myself, I’m able to connect with and understand our clients on a deeper level. I bring patience, kindness, and a calm listening ear to anyone who needs time, space, or support. My goal is to create a calm presence where everyone feels they are valued.

Helen - Community Engagement Facilitator
Hi, I’m Helen McPherson. I have been working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for almost 10 years and supporting this community has become one of the most meaningful parts of my life.
What started as a career path quickly became something much deeper - a calling. I have always felt drawn to walking alongside people with disabilities, helping them recognize their strengths and build their confidence and independence.
Throughout my work in job coaching, employment services, and service coordination, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals in reaching personal goals, developing life and work skills, and advocating for the lives they want to live.
I feel honored to be part of DML and to contribute to a community that values empowerment, inclusion, and meaningful connection.
