Community Connect Days
Community Connect Days
Structured Social Time. Real Connections. Support That Makes Sense.
Community Connect Days are monthly, structured social experiences for teens and young adults with disabilities who benefit from guided interaction and opportunities to connect naturally with peers.
These events are designed for individuals with mid- to high-level functioning (mid- to low support needs) who want to build friendships, strengthen social skills, and participate in meaningful group activities—without the intensity of one-on-one instruction.
What Are Community Connect Days?
Community Connect Days provide a balance of structure and flexibility. Staff intentionally plan activities to support social growth, while also allowing space for natural conversation, shared interests, and relationship-building.
This program is ideal for individuals who already have foundational skills and need real-world practice, not intensive instruction.
What to Expect
Each Community Connect Day includes:
Staff-led icebreakers and group activities
Time for unstructured socializing and peer connection
Support with communication, boundaries, and social problem-solving
Brief, planned activities that reinforce:
Job readiness skills
Social skills
Independent living skills
Light dinner provided
(Participants should bring their own snacks or alternative dinner if needed.)
Instruction is intentionally lighter than one-on-one services or formal job training classes. Learning is embedded naturally through group activities, modeling, prompts, and real-time feedback.
